Engineering optimization (EO) is a method of optimizing a vehicle’s engine performance to deliver greater efficiency and fuel economy.
Engineers often use EO in conjunction with the performance-based engine design process, which is used to reduce engine vibration and boost the vehicle’s overall efficiency.
EO can be used to enhance the vehicle engine’s response to a driver’s commands, reduce the number of engine vibrations, and improve the vehicle vehicle’s driving dynamics.
Engine management software is used by a number of vehicle manufacturers to monitor engine performance, and this technology can be integrated into the engines of some vehicles to enhance fuel economy and fuel efficiency.
While the exact technique used to optimize an engine is not as important as how the engine is designed to be operated, engineers often apply EO to the engine’s cooling systems to help achieve improved cooling performance.
In many cases, EO also provides the ability to reduce fuel consumption and improve performance.
Below are some common engine-related EO practices that are commonly used.
The best way to apply EOL to your car engine:Install the EOC software and EOC sensor on your engine.
Install the EOM software and the EOD sensor on the engine.
Install the automatic fuel pump.
Install a set of torque converter gears to assist with torque transfer.
Install and tune your throttle body and/or transmission.
Install an oil pump.
Install a set in the transmission to assist in oil flow.
Install additional engine-specific EO techniques.
